The Swiss Arab Cultural Alliance emerged from a simple observation: despite the richness and diversity of artistic creation across the Arab regions, many forms of contemporary visual storytelling remain largely invisible within the Swiss and the international cultural circuits.
The Swiss Arab Cultural Alliance was created to support the artistic creation and circulation of these visual narratives, encourage collaborations between artists, publishers and cultural institutions, and contribute to greater visibility for contemporary imaginaries emerging from the Arab region.s
Based in Geneva; a city known for its tradition of international dialogue and cultural exchange; the Swiss Arab Cultural Alliance encourages encounters dialogue, and shared knowledge across different artistic and editorial contexts.
